Seen in Union Square today. I frankly don’t know the visual differences between a 458 and a 488. Anyone else?

That’s a 458. They are really similar, but the biggest tell is that the 488 has absolutely huge intakes on the haunches. My ideal Ferrari would be the 488's internals, but with a 458's body.

Sometimes it’s impossible to tell.

Thanks! I forgot to mention it had dealer plates. Can you still buy a 458 new?

It’s no longer listed on Ferrari’s site, but the spiced-up version, the Speciale, is, so you might be able to get that one new. I’m sure there are still thousands of like-new 458s floating around, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see one on dealer plates.
